Compromise Agreements

  1. Just a quick query about the above!
    Is it a conditon of the above that they are signed in the presence of or co-signed by a solicitor or union rep etc? I'm referring to all types of agreements including those where redundancy pay is concerned. And are they automatically invalidated if this does not occur? In other words you haven't waived any of your rights to pursue matters further if you so wish?

    You must receive independent legal advice e before signing a CA. Some union reps are qualified ti do this but they will supply a certificate to attach with the CA to demonstrate this has happened.

    If you are uncertain about yours, you need to consult an eEmployment law specialist.
