Hello, I am an artist/musician who has been creating educational content for children on Youtube since 2013. I am not a music teacher. If you are a music teacher, my question is do you search out and use new music created by artists such as myself, or do you stick to traditional songs mostly in your lessons?

For example, I noticed a lot of children's channels recreate the same songs for children (ie: If you're happy and you know it, Itsy bitsy Spider, Old MacDonald, 5 little monkeys, etc.) Would you recommend this? Do you lessons primarily consists of these traditional songs?

My real question is, are you looking for new music for children or are you leaning more towards traditional music for kids? Thank you!

    A mixture of both.

Yes, a mixture of both. But if I want new material I am more likely to turn to the music publishers I know/like/believe to produce good quality music than to google online, unless I need a song on a very specific subject. But then a Music specialist may write their own material and tailor-make it to the children they are teaching.
