    I,m covering as a starter tomorrow. We are doing traditional tales so am presenting as the 3 Billy Goats Gruff have got pocket money. Big one gets most, then middle sized, smallest gets least. Show 3 amounts and get them to decide who it belongs to. Not wildly exciting, but there you go!

    Boring but works and brings in lots of vocab.
    Two sticks of mulilink cubes side by side, one with more cubes than the other or both with the same - compare. Easy and always worked in the days of yore ............... (yawn)
