You could combine RE and PSHE to form RESHEP, which would also be a tribute to the legendary Blue Peter dog.
Sorry, I'm being facetious: I just think it's a mistake to combine RE and PSHE (not to mention Citizenship).

We 'roll' with 55 mins of themed learning each week for our PSHCE. Year 12 and 13 complete R.E modules within this as has been determined by our local EA. The themed learning can then incorporate both R.E and citizenship, if you needed it to. The danger is that PSHE is not taught explicitly i.e. How do two people create a child, exactly whay are the effects of specific drugs.
Could you teach Citizenship, elements of PSHE and R.E under a themed learning umberella, incorporating drop-down days or workshops into the school calender (that could be delivered by specialists) for sex ed and careers?

  3. How about MI - standing for Mission Impossible. If you're an Academy you'll be OK, but have you alerted your Head to the fact that you are likely to be graded Unsatisfactory provision on that time allocation?

  4. You could teach each subject separately in six week/half termly cycles.
My concern is that you have used the term 'both', when infact it is three subjects. Citizenship and PSHE are linked but they are separate subjects with different learning objectives.
