What are your views on the Government’s new measure to drive up standards in schools that have been labelled as ‘coasting’ and turn them into academies?

Are the benchmarks for secondary schools fair? Will this add more pressure to an over-stretched and stressful teaching workforce? Will the Government’s plan to provide extra support for ‘coasting’ schools really help to stretch the brightest pupils and help them reach their full potential?

I don't see how they can, if they are considered to be not good enough!
