    Hi There,

I’m an aspiring art teacher and I’ve been asked to give an art lesson to a yr 9 class on ‘Close up and Natural Forms’ as part of an interview. Shells etc are available to use. I’m assuming this is primarily approached as a drawing excercise.
Can anyone offer me any advice on how to approach and plan this lesson?

    Many thanks
    Andy

Getting them working on small objects on a LARGE scale can work by using something like oil pastels and decent-sized sheets of sugar paper in varied tones. Encourage very light establishing of basic shape / structure, as large as possible. Demonstrate freehand if you can. Blending tones / colours after getting shape established.
