We have a new year 6 topic this year called The Americas. We have never done this before so was wondering if anyone knows of any books that can be read to the class related to these topics. Any ideas are much appreciated - thanks.

  3. Although not directly Native American, your pupils might enjoy My Side of the Mountain, 1950s New York State, city boy goes 'native' and develops all the skills needed to survive in the Catskills...I read it as a child, and again about 4 years ago - and still really loved it.

    Amazon have it
