    Hi all.

My topic this term is 'Out of Africa'. I'm looking for a class book (fiction) to read with my class based in Africa. They are quite mature in many ways and really enjoy a good story. Last term we read Hound of the Baskervilles and Street Child. Both were a real hit. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

+1 for Journey to Jo'burg - well-written, and lots of discussion to come from it.

Elephant child (sorry, can't remember author - posting from school!) was quite good, and, moving away from the fiction side, there is a nice child-friendly adaptation of Long Walk to Freedom' - Mandela's autobiography.
