I have to do a class assembly this term and our topic is 'On the Move' focussing on 'Emergency Vehicles.' If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate them! Thank you!

Er, dress up in different uniforms: police, ambulance etc.
    Play the nee-naw sound.
    Playlets about different emergency scenarios.
Remind children to tell their parents not to park near the gates because emergency vehicles may need to get through.

When and how to make a 999 call. When not to make a 999 call and why.

Rewrite a couple of their fav songs. I'm thinking 'Twinkle, twinkle, little star' could become, 'Twinkle, twinkle, flashing light, you flash blue and you flash bright, like a diamond up above the road, sirens mean emergency mode'. Hahahaha though I'm sure you can do much better than that. Try, 'The wheels on the ambulance go round and round.' Love Reception!

I would get them acting out little dramas in small groups with one line each. They will look so cute and the parents will all go 'AWWWW'. Each group could have a cardboard cut out of an emergency vehicle that they come out carrying.

    It'll be great! :)
