I'm working with international schools that have a US-style school system, graduating from high school a year earlier than UK students. The schools are considering teaching CIE Secondary 1 maths and science grades 7–9 across two years rather than three. Does anyone have experience of doing this?

We teach NC to Year 7 and 8, IGCSE to Y9, 10. In Y11 there is the option of doing a resit, further maths or statistics, then Y12 As level and Y13 A level. Our Year 7 and 8 classes are mixed ability.

Thanks for your reply. How many hours of maths lessons per week do your students get in Years 7 and 8?
