Anyone planning to take the kids to Santa's Grotto this year?
Yes. I can totally see me taking the grandkids doing that.
At least GDW's guys are properly dressed - they are wearing bow ties - so they must be gentlemen!
I think anyone mentioning Xmas before mid November should be put in pre-moderation until the new year.
Mine look very properly dressed too! But I shall check again...
Yup, still look proper to me.
Shops are mingling Xmas with Halloween. They used to do the decent thing and wait until Guy Fawkes was over.
Not sure, I think most of them need dress sizes a bit larger.
Well I think I know what I'll be buying them for Christmas then @irs1054
My decs this year:
I think anyone mentioning Christmas before December 1st should be put in Guantanamo Bay for good.
I have to admit to having done a fair bit of festive shopping already.
I have a photo of Belle's festive decorations and Christmas tree from a couple of years ago
Impressive, seriously impressive!
Apart from absolutely necessary food shopping I'm going to be avoiding the shops from now on.
Halloween, Thanksgiving, then Christmas! Even though I have lived over here for 20 years, I still can't think seriously about Christmas until after Thanksgiving....
however, I did already order this for the kitten....
damnant quod non intellegunt
1st December. No mention until then. I'm sure there's a bye-law that covers it.
I can't wait for Belle's annual "Have you got it up, yet?" thread!
DT you could beat me to it and get it up first!
Card and present list written - not filled in with actual ideas of course but a few suggestions beginning to surface. Will get cards next week. I want to go into Birmingham to check out the new John Lewis and there's no point going without a list. Half term used to be the start of it all but it has crept forward a bit. i asked son 2 if he had any ideas for presents and he did - to do with curtains - and he believed me when I said I was starting the cake tomorrow. I'm usually the one who believes everything I'm told so that made my day! The town has put up the street lights so it's definitely coming.
