    Dear all

I have posted this under 'Teaching Overseas' but wondered if maybe anyone (e.g. a teacher of Chinese nationality, schooled in China but now working elsewhere) on this forum has experience of the following or knows more about it:

I am currently teaching in Beijing at an International school. Does anyone have any insight into how exactly Chinese students learn/are taught in the state sector? I know it tends to be very prescriptive/by rote, but can anyone suggest where I might get more detailed, factual stuff re: this, short of actually going to see it in action? - I'd like to do this but obviously can't as am teaching. Any info, personal experience (good or bad), links etc would be great.

    Many thanks in advance
