    Dear Theo,
I got advice and encouragement last year when I applied for and got my SEN job. The school is closing and amalgamating with another school so I am now reapplying for my job. This week I had 4 annual reviews to complete and the application form and statement for the job so I haven't had time to write! This week I have 2 annual reviews to write and they might give me an interview and observe me. Hopefully they will tell me on Monday. If my efforts are not in vain I really want a twinkly star at the end of this week..............................

    Checking in? Thomson checking in?
But this is the EasyJet check-in - Thomson and First Choice Holidays check-in is in Zone F!
(Just thought you needed to giggle in the middle of all this hassle . . .)
Don't buy the Sunday papers. Don't buy the Saturday papers. Don't clean the house. DO put the washing machine on - you don't want them to smell you coming on Monday.
    :)
    Best wishes and bestest luck.

Ooh, I do like Theo's very funny but practical reply.
Let's check you're ready for 'check in'
So. Where to check in? Classroom/office in your school?
How early to arrive? Allow enough time to 'do the neccessaries' to enable you to feel comfiortable, prepared and confident.

Thank you for the giggle and the good wishes! I knew the job seekers posts was where people would understand my situation. You're right keeping clean is the only thing I make sure I do!!!!

    Sorry pressed Post before finished.
What to do at check in? Just continue doing the superb job you're already doing.
So really you're all 'prepared for the take-off' . Though perhap a quick glance to check 'you've everything packed' (metaphorically) Sun. evening just as you would usually though.

Thanks Lara MFL! I like the 'cheap flight' approach to hanging on to your job..........

There's been technical problems with the flight and I almost could not board my flight! HR considered me an internal candidate and encouraged me to apply with the other internal candidates. The new school e-mailed me yesterday to say that as I had a 1 year contract my application had been unsuccessful and I should apply again in February on the correct application form. I took this e-mail to my headteacher she took it to HR, HR went to the new school and now I have an interview for Monday at 9am now!!!!! So after the technical hitch I am preparing for my flight with passport, visa and the 3-4 things I really want them to know about me following the advice I have found on the jobseekers pages.......

Woops posted this twice! I really wanted to make sure it appeared at the top of the posts with Dear Theo on the top as I took time to write the post and try to make it amusing. Anyway I have to go and get on with my interview preparation etc etc

Just check that passport - people have been known to turn up at Heathrow with their partner's instead of their own . . .

So glad they've managed to rearrange that flight take-off. Perhaps HR got wind of the extra weight involve in that armour in your luggage?
Wishing you all the very best for that interview.
AND particularly thanks for posting a 'funny' thread for us to enjoy. (Sometimes we can all get a bit down on this thread with all that anxiety flying around.)
