Charges Against Malicious Pupils

    Teachers will also get added protection through an assumption that they
    have behaved reasonably until the contrary is proved, and confirmation
    that they can use reasonable force to control children.

    not really strong enough is it?

    You're dead right there. Like all these 'New powers for teachers' headlines (most of which turn out to be 'powers' we already had, but which will still leave you open to charges of abuse if you use them), they won't offer protection against arrest or lawsuit when allegations are malicious. It's just that you might not have your name splashed all over the local and national papers. Your career will probably still be ruined, however.
