Changing from secondary to primary teaching

Discussion in 'Welcome lounge and forum help' started by louloug10, Jan 1, 2009.

  1. Hi,

I'm looking for some advice/help on if it is possible to change from secondary teaching to primary teaching. After 5 years teaching secondary, i feel that i would prefer to teach primary or possibly in a SEN school. Any advice on if it is easy to change etc would be gratefully appreciated!

It is possible, as QTS allows you to teach any year group. I think you would need some primary experience before applying though. I am thinking of doing some primary supply maybe to see if I would prefer primary too!
