Can't promise to be interesting... but I'm definitely up for a meet!
Must have been the unfitness bit....! Or was it the chocolate?
I'm don't really bother trying to be 'inconspicuous' - I just end up looking like an conspicuous person trying very hard not to be seen when I do....
Well, it sounds as though we have a nucleus: shall we set a date?
Not 9/10 April if poss - daughter should be dancing at a Feis that weekend and don't know which day yet...
Are we better:
a) mid week or weekend?
b) lunch or evening?
Personally, I'm pretty easy as my o/h works timeterm only, too, and I have no childcare issues.
I'm close enough to town centre with for either to be ok.
(Being that close clearly does nothing for my proofreading skills...)
Depends on time and place ( not keen on Reading on a Friday night!!) but may be able to come.
So, is it happening fellow Berkshire Tessers?
I think so - we just need to decide when (an where)
No sane adult does Reading on a Friday after 9.00pm!!!
I live in West Berkshire, it would be lovely to meet fellow TESsers in Reading!
Well, all meets I've been to (Salisbury, Leeds and Birmingham) have been lunchtime for w few bevvies and a bite to eat.
There must be somewhere nice in Reading.
The Oakford Social Club? Opposite the station.
O.K. - I shall be Mummy:
Weds 13th April at lunchtime in Reading town Centre - is that good for everyone?
Let's meet 12.30 at Sweeny and Todd in Castle Hill just round the corner from the Butts, (the Horn) before the Police Station (http://www.readingrestaurants.com/sweeney_todd/)
anyone who needs further details/directions can contact me at this address
I am happy to talk to anyone on the phone: pm me and I'll send you my number!
I'm probably too shy to turn up.... but I might lurk around the corner and check you lot out before dashing back into the undergrowth
It'll be worth it for the homemade pies... S & Ts are luvvverly....
Besides, the weedy bushes round the corner aren't big enough to hide a malnourished pigeon, never mind a normal human being!
I'll be there! Looking forward to it.
