Celebrate RE Month with Oxford

Discussion in 'Religious Education' started by OxfordRE, Mar 3, 2011.

  1. Great competitions for you and your students to enter

Competition A: Something already planned with your class?
Show us how you're celebrating RE with your students
Are you working on any special projects with your class during March? We'd love you to send us your pictures, artwork, posters, written work, films, or photography to show us how you are celebrating RE in your school. At the end of March we'll select our favourite and you could win £200 worth of free RE resources for your school and a box of Thorntons chocolates for yourself.
Author Ina Taylor, writer of our popular KS3 and GCSE resources, will be helping us judge your entries. We will choose a selection to feature in the next e-Newsletter and on our website so your students can see their work on display.

Competition B: Looking for ideas or a project for RE month?
Keep your KS3 students busy during RE Month
Ask your students to write a letter to a God of their choice, or someone they look up to who helps guide them through life - for example, a family member or a close friend.
    Tell them:
    • A bit about yourself
    • What they mean to you
    • The impact they have on your life and the lives of others
    • What questions would you like to ask them?
Ina Taylor will also be judging these with us and the winner will receive a certificate and a £50 book token to spend on any Oxford titles from our children's/teen fiction range.
    How to enter
