Caretaker interview questions

I'm about to interview for a new caretaker/cleaner. In the past, I've appointed teachers, TAs, admin etc, but never a caretaker. I know what I want from them - keep the school clean, open & close up, security etc, but am struggling to come up with some meaningful questions. Any suggestions?

Can you not sit down with the outgoing or last Caretaker and ask them for help on structuring questions? In any event, your themes will be along the lines of H&S eg., what do you understand about COSHH. I would also propose a scenario type question, for example, in the event that you came into work first thing in the morning and found the corridor and classroom flooded, what action would you take?

    Hope this helps

I didn't use all of these but these were the ones we came up with when we were interviewing:
    1. Any Questions? There's probably a really easy way to change the font but I can't see it so I apologise for the size etc.
    I hope this helps!

I interviewed recently and questions included:
What is your understanding of COSHH?
Why do you want to work at XXX primary?
What do you see as your main role as a caretaker?
A heavy delivery arrives in school what do you do?
In addition to the formal questions we gave a written task, this allowed for us to assess the candidates basic skills, common sense and suitability under less pressure.
From the top of my head questions included:
You see two children fighting, what do you do?
You get a phonecall from the alarm company in the early hours of the morning, you have had a drink, what do you do?
Order the following scenarios from 1-5 in order of priority:
    a) A teacher wants a table moving.
    b) Toilet roll is needed in the ladies toilets.
    c) The headteacher needs a new desk bringing into her office.
d)There is a smashed vodka bottle on the playground.
e)A bin needs emptying in the cloakroom.
You suspect a workman has been drinking, what do you do?

You can smell gas, what do you do?
You see a cleaner talking on their mobile phone, what do you do? It happens again, what do you do?
