career details - trainee?

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by iamsmile, Feb 12, 2011.

  1. Hi all! I am currently filling out an application form, and I'm not sure what to put in the 'career details' section?
I am a trainee teacher, so do I put down my teaching practice info? What about education related jobs I've had previously? Non-education related jobs?

    So confused...

You need to justify everything you've been doing since leaving school, for Child Protection purposes.
So yes, put on past jobs whether or not education-based.
    But within reason!
You may summarise thus: Variety of part-time and temporary positions in retail and hospitality whilst studying will cover Tesco and McDonalds. They don't want every tiny thing done.
It would be good to have somewhere a mention of your TP whilst you haven't yet got a real teaching job to put in, so you could put them there, but making it very clear that it is TP, not employment.
Have you read carefully the Shortlisting clickables inside the Welcome thread? Following that advice gets jobs!
    Best wishes
