Hi All, I'm in the early stages of research. I'm searching for a primary school that does not offer before or after school clubs at the moment, and would be willing to rent some space. And for a holiday club as well. I am secondary trained, and have almost completed additional qualifications to run clubs like these. I've done food hygiene, paediatric first aid, and have registered to so safeguarding course. Is anybody (even head teachers) on here in a school that doesn't offer or could refer a location or point me in the right direction? I would greatly appreciate an info. Im based in birmingham, looking around Handsworth, handsworth wood, kingstanding, Great Barr area . Please email me at Gsimpsonxy@hotmail.com.

    Regards

    Hi Sim1one,

Just a thought but wouldn't it be easier for you to initially look at the websites of schools in the locations of interest to you? You should be able to get a sense of whether or not they offer before/after school/holiday club sessions.

Or possibly ask friends / relatives that live in these particular areas especially if they have children in the schools?

    Hi BYusuf,

Thanks for that. I have looked on websites, but those that don't offer these services themselves could have external provisions not mentioned on their website. Will try another strategy.

    Cheers

    .

    Spot on!

I would have thought that then the best way forward would be to e-mail schools with no provision and ask who should be contacted about hiring school premises. There may even be a central hiring function.

    Best wishes
