Christmas hat that is, I have a nice new shiny avatar lined up and ready to go, but there's no option to change my avatar now in the edit profile page, I just go back and forth edit..exit..edit..exit like some Kafkaesque nightmare, if I see a giant insect I'll palm it off on it, but otherwise I look set to be ready for Christmas all year.

That is an exaggeration. However when I read Mangle's post it did make me snort out loud.

Actually yeah... Mangle should keep his X-Mas hat on all year!

    This isn't an unusual problem.
Do you get to the Edit Profile page?
If so at approximately 4 o'clock on the avatar disc in the top left hand corner should be a camera icon.
That icon often goes missing but if you move your mouse about (or the equivalent) at about 4 o'clock on the disc you may still be able to access the link.

I just had another look and there it was, most peculiar, looked a little while ago hovered around as @Didactylos4 said and nothing.

I reckon it's those robots who dunnit.

Thank you for you concern all (apart from @lanokia and his bare-headed smugness obvs)

    p.s. how's the new job?

I can't make up my mind whether to revert back to the old avatar or not. There's something about this dog's expression I'd like to fully understand before I let him go. He seems to not mind being seen as a clown, but there's a cynical look in his eyes too and I suspect, a belief he can kill anything he doesn't go a lot on, despite his diminutive size.

Aye ain't bad so far... had a full day today which was the first full work in two months so knackered but feel it'll work out. Obviously some kids played up and tried it on... shall have to deploy shouty voice.

I might put on a bit of slap again. I look a bit pale.

I'd like to see your Clouseau (sp) avatar again.

Decisions, decisions, Father Jack was my original avatar so I thought I'd go back to the character in a different form. Then again I get confused when others change theirs too often and I don't recognise then for a while if it's too different. I'll see how I feel about it in a couple of days.

It's all that standing about in a shell, with no clothes on!

It might be due to food poisoning from eating the previous inhabitant of the shell.

I suspect that is how most of us view ourselves here! I certainly do. Not sure about the killing though. Maybe just kneeing in the testicles.

When in doubt construe a canine facial expression as: Where's my biscuit?

The Duke's dog is verging on a modified version. "Where's my fook in biscuit then. Give it 'ere or I'll bite ya."
