Can I transfer a support staff pension into my teaching one?

    Hi,
I have a teaching pension but have spent the last year and a half in a support staff role paying contributions into a different pension. I have got a new teaching position. What can I do with my support staff pension? I doubt there's much in it. Can I transfer it?

    Thank you.

I don’t think you can transfer into The TPS. Phone the and see. It may even be on website faq. Also post this in the Retirement section as there’s very knowledgeable posters there.

You might be able to cash it in and buy extra from TPS, but suspect it won't be worth much. Or you could just leave it where it is.
