Can I change half pees??

Discussion in 'Personal' started by gorgybaby, Jul 30, 2011.

  1. Still in the process of clearing my dad's house and today Mr Gorgy found a tin of half pees (I think, rather than ha'pennies). Will the bank accept them now?

You mean half a new penny as opposed to half an old penny?

How many are in the tin?

I'm pretty sure you would have to take them to the Bank of England now.

  5. Yes. I don't know, he just shouted up to me that it was ha'pennies. It is a big tin, probably only about a tenner's worth in it though

  6. I'm guessing bin, then?! Thank you!

    A tenner's worth? 2000 coins?

  8. I really don't know. I haven't counted them, or even seen them - as I said - just guessing.

  9. Charity shop?
