Can anyone suggest materials to use for anger management?

  1. I've posted this in behaviour too.
I'm wondering if anyone has used any good resources etc to address anger in primary age pupils. I have a couple of members in my class who occasionally get into a bit of strife as they don't know how to cope or calm down if someone has angered them without it having a negative impact on their behaviour for the rest of the day.

We've just used a book called (I think) The Red Beast in Circle Time (Y 3/4, works across primary)

It's about the red beast who lives inside us all and whose ears and eyes get smaller and mouth gets bigger as it gets angry.

I found it helpful because it didn't specially focus on the angry children (I have 3) but helped us all (even me LOL) to think about what happens when we get angry and to start thinking of what we can do to deal with it before we erupt.

It came from a friend who has a son with Aspergers.
