Can anyone help with question about occupational maternity pay?

Firstly you will have the right to request moving to part time hours, but not the right to have your request granted. If agreed however you do not have to return full time for 13 weeks - it can be completed on a pro rate basis, so if you returned on a 50% contract, working 26 weeks after maternity leave is the same.

  2. 99% sure they are wrong.
My understanding is that if you go back on 0.5, then you would need to work 26 weeks.
I believe you can change jobs completely so long as it is for the same employer.
I guess it would be complicated further by dropping your TLR as your 'new' position would be on a lower salary, so you may need an extra week or two on top to cover that.
Have you tried looking on a union website? Try googling NUT and Maternity Matters.
