Can anyone help with certification knowledge

Discussion in 'Physical education' started by ResourceFinder, Jul 12, 2011.

  1. My teen has come home with WJEC CBAC Entry Level Certificates

    Distinctions in 5 areas

Do these count as or towards a GCSE?

    Do they give points?

She is proud of them in their own right but we just wondered and I cannot find anything on the WJE site

Entry level certificates normally equate to level 1 qualification at grade D-G.

  4. Cheers ... so it will not give her any useful points

Not to worry she is well pleased by the certs [IMG]

It will do, its normally added on after the average point score has been calculated.

  6. They're usually used as the beginning of a higher level certificate. WJEC/CBAC like to award a certificate for each module, to celebrate individual success. This can sound daft to higher ability students but is really good for the less able.
We run a similar set for our A level students to prepare them for writing CVs, personal statements, etc. Here's the link

(I can't believe the resource finder missed that [IMG])
