I currently have a term left to do and there are NO jobs. My OH has potentially been offered a job in Aus but am I even able to teach there without the last term completed? X

Statutory induction only applies to the UK the Australian regulations are different and vary from state to state and you have to register with the particular state you live in.Your degree and qualifications are assessed as part of the work permit proceedure. Generally the main demand is for experienced teachers or teachers in shortage subjects like Maths and Phys. EFL teaching might be an option worth considering as this can open up a wider market such as for adults and you could do a qualification( such as RSA) over here.

Thanks Welsh Wizard! It would be NSW, on the SOL the shortage just says 'secondary teachers' so hoping I can. Will look into that course though but with no current income it would have to be pretty cheap x
