bursary for secondary teaching

Discussion in 'Thinking of teaching' started by mariacavanagh, Feb 24, 2011.

  1. Hi,
Was wondering if anyone knew anything about bursaries for this academic year: 2011 - 2012
for Secondary school PGCE in English or History?? Trying to decide if it would be best to train in England, Scotland or Wales.
    Thanks

  3. There are no bursaries anymore except for secondary maths, MFL, biology, physics and chemistry.

  4. Fees are lower in Scotland around £1820 (free if you are domiciled in Scotland or EU) but no bursary. Wales and England are very similar: no bursary and same fees.
