Bullying stories/resources

Discussion in 'Primary' started by dowager_countess, May 14, 2011.

  1. Good evening. I want to get my class writing some fiction based around the issue of bullying as our literacy unit at the moment is stories that raise issues/dilemmas. We are Year 4.

Can anyone suggest any good bullying stories/texts/online resources that I could use as a stimulus for the unit?

Basically as an end product I would like them to write a story in which a character is getting bullied at school and has to decide how to handle the situation. Should be quite interesting, and easy for introducing characters/setting. Any help would be great, thank you.

  4. The Angel of Nitshill Road. Anne Fine
Great character descriptions. Bullying fiction, completely appropriate for year 4.
    My class loved it.

I second The Angel of Nitshill Road. Spot on.
