    Totally agree with Mr Bronson; would add:
    Best of Chrs Barber [it's a steal at only 3 quid from Amazon right now!]
    Very best of Diana Krall [Canadian singer/pianist married to Elxis Costello [that man has taste!] - vocally possibly the nearest living rival to Peggy Lee].
    Otherwise, my teaching CD case has a few compilation CDs of trad jazz classics I've picked-up over the years - some in charity shops! Keep your eyes open!
