Bug Club and RWI?

We used to be a RWI school, but decided to drop the more formal approach to RWI, and just use the materials to teach using Letters and Sounds. It's going well, but with this year's resourcing bid, I was thinking that it would be good to get some new bits to update our collection...reading books, eBooks, teaching resources for IWB, etc, and I was wondering if the Bug Club resources would complement or clash with RWI.
It would be a waste of money for us to buy the Bug Club flashcards etc, as we have the RWI ones and already make flashcards for the children, all we've done is changed the order in which the sounds are taught, but use the same flashcards as we did with RWI, ie, we use 'ai' snail in the rain as the first /ai/ sound taught, instead of 'ay' may I play.
    Thanks for any comments
