BTEC L2 Extended Cert-Unit 7

Discussion in 'Science' started by QueenOfTheLab, Jan 2, 2011.

  1. They could probably manage:

    1. Rate of photosynthesis/respiration

    2. Enzyme activity

    3. Effect of temperature on membrane permeability (beetroot)

    4. Concentration of vitamin C in orange juice

    5. Effect of length of pendulum on period of a pendulum

    6. Experimental verification of Snell's law

That should keep them busy for a bit.
  2. I'm also looking for ideas for this. It's meant to be fairly context-based. Does anyone have experience of offering this unit and what has worked to achieve all the criteria? We have so far done Units 1, 2, 3 and 10. Thank you!
  3. Hi jrs64

We eventually went with the biological vs non biological washing powder one where they had plenty of variable to control and could be done with minimum supervision. For results they had to rate the cleanliness on a scale of 1 to 5 and it didn't matter how accurate the results were as long as the table was suitably drawn with a good bar chart!
