BTEC IT Unit 1 assignment advice

Discussion in 'Computing and ICT' started by escha1305, Aug 29, 2011.

  1. Hi there

I was wondering whether anyone had any idea about what the examiner is looking for in P5 (Setting up a specialist communication channel) and M1 (Justify why a specialist communication channel is effective for a given purpose).

Last year I got my students to create a podcast about the social impacts of IT and then host it using Podbean. This year I would like them to share their podcast link using Twitter. I am still very unsure on M1 and wondered what other people accepted as M1 work? Any samples would be greatly appreciated - and I would be more than willing to share some exemplar work with other people!

I thought that the Pearson Assessment Pack would be the answers to the problems experienced last year; however it has student exemplar work for criteria which you know how to pass NOT the more difficult areas!

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated
