BTEC First Level 2 Working with Moving Image

Discussion in 'Art and design' started by b.bear, Mar 22, 2011.

  1. I am currently doing animation with Level 3 BTEC, using the Stop Motion Production unit combined with the Narrative Image Making unit
doing much the same pixilation etc, depends on the facilities and animation programmes you have.
they started by doing a presentation on history of animation and narrative imagery as part of initial research then storyboarding their ideas based on a theme. (hindsight keep the theme simple like a channel ident, music promo, film title sequence based on a book or film, narrative story or advert)
Started experimenting with toys and animating them, also tried pixilation with humans, sitting on a chair which races around the room (is very funny to watch) fuzzy felt pictures are quite cool as well
if you wikipedia pixilation it comes up with list of music videos and films which are good to show as examples.
Oren Lavie "Her morning elegance" is really inspiring
