I get 9 hours a fortnight - same as any other A-level course in the school. For those who are continuing through both years I don't think it is going to be a problem getting it all done. For those who are wanting to cash in this year it is a little tight to complete but I think we are just about going to make it. If you think you are short on hours then make sure you spend all the class time on the practicals needed and set work on the theory aspects as self-study. Also, work smartly with the practicals. Demo the technique yourself and then send them off to do something independently. If they keep good lab notes then first time round provides the evidence for their coursework.
