He's only stating the bleeding obvious. IS themselves boasted that EU freedom of movement would enable IS inroads to commit further attacks.

He's just ahead of the curve and I don't think his point can be dismissed out of hand. What we would like from Schengen and what we get aren't necessarily going to align.

Apart from the unfortunate choice of words, isn't it better to wait and see whether the evidence supports the point?

Politics and evidence? Get a grip! Apart from that - it doesn't take much to realise that free movement is going to assist IS and other loonies from the Arab world taking it out on the West. IS certainly think so..

Is there ever a right time? Even when the attacks go quiet - people get shot down in flames for stating the glaringly obvious.

Well, they're hardly going to say "We're definitely going to attack Europe soon. Well, by soon, I mean it's on the to do list. We're gonna give it our best shot, but you know, we're fighting a war over here as it is, it's not like we're sitting about doing nothing, ignoring the whole holy war down with the infidel thing, we're definitely on it, just you know, we're really busy and no ones got the time to pretend to be a refugee right now or sort out getting a fake passport, or becoming a European national just at the minute. We definitely do intend to bomb you asap, but we've got other priorities right now what with the civil war here and all the bombing and fighting and stuff. But Europe, we're definitely coming for you at some point in the future when we get the chance, ok, so be warned!" are they
