Britain since 1948 class book

    Does anyone have any good ideas for a book to read to the class on this subject??

    I don't know how old your class is, but my Y6s are loving Ali Sparkes' "Frozen in Time" - about two children who were cryonically frozen in 1956 and wake up in the present. Lots of great character work and comparisons between then and now - including quite a few surprises. It won the Blue Peter un-putdownability award last year too.
