It's been the 'rule' that new EU members join the Euro, but that isn't always enforced (Croatia, for example). And our situation is somewhat different anyway...(Do we actually have to leave despite Article 50, the jury's out on that one).

And would the other Eurozone members want the UK to join? I rather doubt it - it might unbalance the currency.

As you once implied about some leave arguments that seems to be more of a hope than reality

Czech Republic and Poland don't seem to have much interest in joining, either.

Who knows how long such exceptions will remain

And you talk of Project Fear. I think a mirror is required.

Actually I rarely do or did.
Though I confess to sometimes taking a strictly factual approach to some of the ongoing examples of said project.... :D

God help us after Brexit if we're going to act to highly qualified immigrants like this:

An NHS specialist, his British wife and their three young children have been stranded on opposite sides of the Atlantic because Britain won’t let the couple’s two adopted children into the UK.

Patrick Thies, an American orthopaedic surgeon, may now have to give up his job in Birmingham and return to the US despite the NHS spending £20,000 and nine months recruiting him, after failing to find a suitable candidate in the UK.

And let's have no nonsense about 'they didn't follow the rules' etc. The fact is if we're this incompetent soon our NHS and many other businesses will be suffering from being unable to appoint talent.

I have changed my opinion of you FG.

I had thought you merely querulous, but now I realise you are just a very unpleasant person. Somebody (and by no means just one, it's already in the thousands if not tens of thousands) has to uproot from their home of decades and you come out with this.

    Absolutely disgusting.
