Was just wondering what ful time teachers are entitled to regarding breaks. I work in the nursery and only have a 40 minute break for lunch per day.

You're entitled to a break for lunch that is of 'reasonable length' - forty minutes is more than reasonable.
  3. 30 minutes after every six hours of work. No entitlement as such to tea breaks, though loo visits etc have to have provision made for... TBH most teachers do get over and above the minimum!
  4. the break has to be between school sessions or between 12 and 2.
  5. Apologies it is entitlement to twenty minutes break not thirty inutes if employed for more than six hours...
  6. We get a 20 minute lunch break, which is hard going some days.
