I have accepted a post near Lake Geneva. Any one able to give me a heads up on Haut-Lac? Anyone else joining that school, next month?

Also, what is with the difficulty in finding a place to rent...I was told that there is a lot of paperwork to complete before being accepted as a 'candidate' to become a renter.

    Thanks in advance! :)

Yes, the rental market is notoriously difficult in Switzerland; often 100+ applicants for a property and when you're up against Swiss locals, it can be near impossible.

Does your school have someone who is responsible for helping new teachers to find accommodation? Often new teachers move into an apartment/house of a leaving teacher, but perhaps that's not an option so close to the start of school?

    Good luck!
