I'm after some ideas for a book to use for stories with a familiar setting. This week we have been looking at Not Now Bernard. This is based around the home setting, but children have rewritten their own based in/around school. I am after inspiration for another book based in a familiar setting. It is to be used for a low and middle set group in a year 3/4 class.
    Thank you,

If you're doing Not Now Bernard, what about The Tiger Who Came to Tea? :)
Or a book set in a school?
  3. I've used 'Once Upon an Ordinary School Day' by Colin McNaughton with Y3, which is set (surprise suprise!) in a school. Another one I absolutely love using is 'Voices in the Park' by Anthony Browne. They would both appeal to Y3 & 4.
