I am going to book band (colour) the school library.
Some of the books are colour coded for Accelerated Reading
Some are at least 6 years old or more, with no leveling or colour banding.
Is there a database online that can help?
Is there a way to convert AR Scheme to coloured Book Band
    Any help please

It's a library. Surely children should have free choice?
Band 'reading books' by all means, if it suits your school, but surely not the library.

I agree with caterpillartobutterfly. How would you feel if books in your local library were colour coded and you could only read a certain colour or you could only by a book suitable for your age or reading level. Children have to have a choice and learn to select a book they feel comfortable with.

I agree. Book band your class readers if you must, but let the library be free choice. I'd be more focused on using the walls to promote reading - posters, challenges, recommended reads etc.

The library is the most important room in a school, in my opinion. Make it brilliant!
