I would like to start blogging with my year five class and I
have found two sites which seem suitable. It has to be safe of the children, ensures
any comments/updates must be approved by me first, allows them to have their
own space, that preferably has some design features for themselves.

The sites I have found are

    http://kidblog.org/home.php

    and

    http://edublogs.org/

I just wanted to know if anybody has used any of these sites
and if they had any recommendations/views/problems with them. Of course please
let me know if there is anything better out there which I may not have come
    across.

  3. I like Wordpress (on which platform edublogs is based). I couldn't tell you offhand whether it will do everything you want - but setting up a site is free so give it a go.

In the past I've hosted blogs internally - all you need is a webserver and a bit of time. I appreciate this might not be viable for primary!
