Discussion in 'Primary' started by elle-jay06, Feb 22, 2011.

  1. Hi,
Just wonderig if anyone had any good ideas for parent workshop!
It will be led by the children ( 1 teach KS2 8-10years)
I want it to be as interactive as possible
    Thanks in advance

I'd run it in small groups with a child as teacher for each group. They run what is generally the first session of BW, ie the grammar, VCOP introductory part. Then maybe have coffee and cakes and let parents chat about what they might write as they have refreshments (Year 6 can serve and give hints on writing). Then let them have a go at writing (a short task obviously, 10-15 mins at most) and pair marking with guidance from you.
