best teaching agencies abroad

Discussion in 'Teaching overseas' started by jimslicer, Jan 2, 2012.

  1. Hi,
I'm completing my PGCE in June 2012 & am looking to see if anybody can recommend the best agencies to work for in summer positions. I wouldn't mind teaching English or Art & Design if I can get the work. Any agencies specialising in Asia would be best as I want to travel & research as much Ceramics as possible.

I think that most teacher recruitment agencies will offer full-time positions. Two years is the usual thing for most contracts, so I do not think that you will find many positions that are just for the summer term.
  3. Hi Jim,

You mention that you are looking for summer positions. I would recommend contacting Compass http://www.compassteaching.com. Compass works with an international school located in the Swiss Alps, which offers a programme of academic and outdoor activities to international students from mid-June to mid-August. I know it is not Asia, however, something to consider.
