Best piece of career advice you ever received?

  1. Never stay in your first job more than 5 years.
    I did and it was only with hindsight that I realised it was a mistake.
    If you really aren't enjoying working somewhere, get out. There are better places to work.
    I am currently considering walking out of a job I'm in on supply. It's hell.
  2. Be firm, be fair and smell nice!!
