Best paying agencies for online tutoring

I am considering trying out online tuition (teaching maths at whatever level) and was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of an agency that pays particularly well? I have enquired with a few agencies that seem to have good reputations, but they tend to offer around £40 an hour at most, which is well under half what I charge for face to face tuition. I understand the agencies would take a cut, and that online may be cheaper than face to face, but £40 pre-tax hardly seems worth the effort. Any recommendations would be gratefully received.

If I'd known you charged that much I wouldn't have given advice on the other thread.

I’m not sure I quite follow the logic, but your advice was very helpful so I thank you nonetheless.

As to the rate, given what I pay other professionals to do jobs I am not qualified for, I hardly find it exorbitant, especially for my main client base of Oxbridge/Further maths where I would argue there are fewer people able to give the service I do than there are , for example, qualified plumbers around. Anyway, it’s by the by really, I am fortunate enough to have a CV that means there are enough people around locally who feel my services are worth the cost, I just feel it might be a bit less disruptive to family life to branch into online tutoring. So any recommendations, either on the forum or via private message (if it is not allowed to name companies) would be very welcome.

It's not allowed to name agencies on the forum :)

But people can PM recommendations to you.

Many thanks to those who messaged me. I signed up to one agency (who pay more than my usual face to face rate) and will be trying my first online lesson this Friday, now let’s just hope I can figure out the technological side..
