Best KS3 History books you have used?

Discussion in 'History' started by daybreak07, Jan 16, 2012.

  1. Hi all,
I am looking for some KS3 History books that could be used as furtehr study for the students to use for projects etc. i really like Usborne books and Hodder Education stuff. However, it would eb very useful if people could perhaps share the books they find to be most 'user friendly'.
I am open to any topic, so anything goes!
    Cheers [IMG]

  3. With an unashamed attempt to try and offload some unwanted textbooks and a vested interest at trying to sell them: History In Progress 1066-1603 are very good text books! Have a look at the link below for more info:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/History-Progress-Pupil-Book-1066-1603/dp/0435318500/ref=pd_sim_b_2#reader_0435318500
Worth saying that we are only selling them as we ordered 300 a couple of years back when we were offering Humanities to our Yr7s and this was taught by a team of 10 staff of whom only 4 were History specialists. However now we've moved back to teaching History as a discrete subject and so no longer need the additional 120-odd spare copies that were used by non-specialists in their classrooms.
    Hope that helps :)
