Hello I was wondering if anyone could help.

I am considering going back into doing teacher training to be a teacher again.

Unfortunately I have previously completed all but the last placement of a PGCE but got signed off sick. I finished the course with a non-teaching degree in education. I have since worked as a TA and am now a HLTA.

Does anyone know if there is any route I could take into teaching now?

    Thank you

I thought I'd posted an answer to this, but it seems to have disappeared ….

Have you thought about a teaching apprenticeship? They run in our area but I don't know if the scheme is nationwide. It might be worth looking into - you ought to be an ideal candidate as you have both a degree and experience as a HLTA. Good luck with finding a way forward.
