Just as the title says really - I've just put in for a job and this is how they plan. The teacher chooses a text and then bases the whole half term's topic - cross curricularly - on it. I haven't seen this done before and wondered if anyone else does this/has seen it. If so, would anyone be kind enough to send me an eg of their planning so I can see how it's done (year 5 or 6)? If so, my email address is: rachelle@supawoman.com
    I would be eternally grateful.

Many thanks RR. That makes it much clearer, I appreciate you taking the time to send me your plans.
  4. I know the text doesnt last for the whole term but I kept on referring back to it and comparing with the Dickens text
